Top 10 Horror Movies On Netflix

Netflix provides something for every kind of horror lover, from beloved classics to Netflix originals, haunted houses, to vicious animals. Here are the top ten horror movies currently available on Netflix.

1. Child's Play 2

The doll that kills With Child's Play 2, Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif), reached his pinnacle. The sequel to the long-running franchise is more lively and witty than the first, displaying Chucky's sardonic demeanor.

However, unlike some of the later installments, it stays away from full-on humor. As he hunts little Andy (Alex Vincent) and Andy's new foster family, Chucky remains terrifying, and the film blends brutal set-pieces with an appealingly twisted sense of comedy.

2. I am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House

I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, written and directed by Oz Perkins, establishes an uneasy atmosphere right from the start. Ruth Wilson portrays a live-in nurse caring for an old writer in a house that could be the setting for the author's most renowned novel's terrible events.

As Perkins immerses the audience in a mood of passive dread, the nurse and the spirit of a lady who died in the house glide through the primarily vacant rooms, their fates become entangled.

3. The Perfection

In Richard Shepard's convoluted, over-the-top psychological horror film The Perfection, Allison Williams and Logan Browning portray dueling cellists. Charlotte (Williams) and Lizzie (Browning) are both students of the same challenging and demanding teacher (Steven Weber), who incites them to fight. Shepard defies expectations with a series of plot twists that leave the audience guessing about the characters' genuine relationships while they punish each other cruelly

4. His House

When a couple of South Sudanese refugees move into government accommodation in London, they are haunted by horrific memories as well as an evil spirit from their homeland. His Home combines typical haunted house spookiness with a meditation on pain and displacement to create an intriguing (and frightening) fresh take on an old narrative.

5. Hush

Mike Flanagan directed the dramatic home-invasion film Hush, about a deaf lady (Kate Siegel) fighting against an implacable intruder, before producing the popular Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor. Flanagan cleverly uses the main character's deafness to add suspense to the story, putting the audience in her shoes as she battles for her life.

6. The Invitation

In Karyn Kusama's The Invitation, a dinner party goes wrong. The film begins as a talky drama about former friends and lovers meeting before taking a darker turn. Is the host simply inviting everyone over to dine and talk, or is there a deeper nefarious agenda involving a mysterious cult's apocalypse prophecy? Before bursting into severe clashes and violence, the spooky film teases such possibilities.

7. It Comes At Night

What exactly is it that comes at night? It Comes at Night, a post-apocalyptic film directed by Trey Edward Shults, never exactly answers that question. Still, it could be any number of perils confronting a family fleeing a fatal sickness that has destroyed the globe. When a mysterious visitor arrives seeking assistance for his own family, the two clans must distinguish which dangers are external and internal.

8. Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth, directed by Guillermo del Toro, is a sad and beautiful fable set in World War II-era Spain. A little girl discovers a magical labyrinth populated by fantastical creatures. As the main girl fights back against her brutal military stepfather, Del Toro interweaves the fairy-tale realm with the real world of increasing fascism in Spain.

9. SweetHeart

Kiersey Clemons plays the apparent lone survivor of a shipwreck who is stuck on a lonely island for the majority of Sweetheart's running duration. Is the island deserted? The lurking threat of a monster from the deep is used by director J.D. Dillard to present a story about a woman discovering her inner strength and reclaiming her power.

10. Unfriended

It may seem like a ludicrous idea to depict an entire tale purely through graphics on a computer screen. Still, the brilliant, intricately crafted horror film Unfriended pulls it off with its simple but effective story about a gang of teens pursuing revenge from beyond the grave. The film wonderfully depicts its protagonists' online lives while simultaneously providing a satisfying and terrifying ghost story.
